The "Tamil Youth Conference 2024" organised by the International Tamil Youth Organisation (TYO) was held very successfully in Ennepetal, Germany, on the 5th and 6th of October.
It is noteworthy that more than 200 youths from different countries such as Germany, Norway, France, Belgium, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland and United Kingdom took part in this conference.
The conference both days began with inaugural events. On the first day, an opening speech was delivered by the director of Anaithulakat Thodarpakam, during which he provided a clear vision regarding the goals of the conference and the focus on Tamileelam.
On the first day, topics such as career-boosting soft skills, the goals and projects of the International Tamil Youth Organisation, our history, politics and geo-politics were discussed. On the second day, expert speakers delivered talks on topics such as the planned occupation of Tamil homeland by the Sri Lankan state and economic empowerment. The experts shared their experiences, and the youth engaged with them in discussions.
Furthermore, the youth displayed great interest during the breaks, eagerly reading and taking notes on the posters exhibited by the Tamil Youth Organisation at various points.
At the end of the two-day event, certificates of participation were awarded by the International Youth Organisation to those who took part. The conference concluded successfully with a sense of pride and commitment among the youths. The closing events on the second day were filled with emotion as the participants reaffirmed their determination to continue carrying forward the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle, in line with the call from the national leader of Tamileelam. This conference strongly affirmed that the youth are ready to take up the cause and move forward.
